IOC International Conference on Visual StressIn March I attended the IOC International Conference here in London. The IOC Hosted by International Institute of Colorimetry, the main aim of this conference will be to bring together many of the international researchers and practitioners who employ the use of colour in their work. The International Institute of Colorimetry, formed in 2009, is committed to raising awareness in schools, relevant professions and the community at large, of the need for early diagnosis of the problem of Visual Stress. The current Board members are drawn from research, education and vision science as well as parent representation. They have each worked closely with the research and development of the Colorimeter or with individuals who have benefited significantly from the precision tinted lenses. Here at John Rose Eye Care we use a machine called Colorimiter to test the eye for problems with colour vision. The Colorimeter is a logical and sequential means of exploring colour space to find the optimal Precision Tint for the relief of perceptual distortion in dyslexia, migraine and photosensitive epilepsy. The Intuitive Colorimeter is a new optometric instrument allowing specific prescribing of tinted lenses for beneficial purposes.
